Classically Proportioned Fluted Pier Column
DST used Classical proportions to layout the flutes and fillets, etc. The width was divided into 29 parts, for 7 flutes each was ascribed 3 parts and each fillet 1 part.
Architectural Elements
The architectural elements in this porch were carefully thought out and work well together. It would be a great day to be sitting on this porch in a rocking chair watching the world go by.
Plaster Cornice
Love the deeply sculpted coving. Sketched this one up after visiting Ireland where there was a similar profile of crown in one of the hotels where we stayed.
